Bridgewater Bank is a Canadian Schedule I chartered bank with a portfolio of over $2.4 billion representing over 34,000 accounts across Canada. We specialize in competitive residential mortgages and deposit products through a select network of brokers. Bridgewater Bank GIC rates intend to make investing easy and profitable for our customers.

Executive Profiles

  • Peter O'Neill, FICB, AMP – Chief Operating Officer

    With Bridgewater Bank since 2004, Peter O’Neill was part of the influential and successful team that obtained the bank’s Schedule I charter. He is responsible for the overall strategic direction and operations of the bank.

    Peter’s career includes more than 40 years of banking experience, with senior roles at RBC and ATB Financial. He has led over 800 employees within multi-disciplinary teams in urban and rural settings. He has significant expertise in the areas of strategic planning, human resources, retail banking, business banking, alternative distribution channels, customer contact centres, wealth management and dealer direct auto financing.

    He is actively involved in the local business community through Calgary Region Home Builders Association, Calgary Mortgage & Loans Association, Calgary Chamber of Commerce and the Registered Deposit Brokers Association of Canada.

    Peter is a Fellow (Honours) of the Institute of Canadian Bankers, holds the ICB Professional Bankers designation and is an Accredited Mortgage Professional through Mortgage Professionals Canada. Within the Canadian Banker’s Association, Peter is a member of the Executive Council and the National Housing Forum. Peter is also Co-Chair of the Domestic Bank Executive Committee.

  • Gord Follett, CPA, CA – Vice-President, Strategic Initiatives

    Gord Follett leads Bridgewater Bank’s business planning, new business initiatives, financial governance, investor relations, regulatory reporting and treasury operations. He also oversees the Lending Solutions and Banking Solutions lines of business.

    He has more than 25 years of corporate experience in public accounting, financial reporting, investor relations, marketing, cost management and business development. Previously he held senior management roles with Nortel Networks and Shaw Communications.

    Gord is a chartered accountant, holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and is a member of the Ontario and Alberta Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants.

  • Todd Poberznick, AMP – Vice-President, National Sales

    Todd Poberznick leads the business development team and is responsible for corporate partnerships, independent and nominee deposits, and future B2B relationships. He also oversees mortgage production via the mortgage broker channel.

    Todd has over 30 years experience in the banking and brokerage industry in the United States and Canada. He has an extensive background in financial management, mortgage product development, broker relations, marketing, industry training and sales.

    He is an Accredited Mortgage Professional and a member of Mortgage Professionals Canada. He has led courses in mortgage finance at Mount Royal University and the Calgary Real Estate Board as a licensed instructor for the Alberta Real Estate Association.

  • Dave Terletski, AMP – Vice-President, Enterprise Risk

    Dave Terletski is responsible for Bridgewater Bank’s enterprise risk management, the credit portfolio, operational compliance, internal controls and corporate security.

    His banking career spans more than 40 years and includes senior management roles at RBC, Scotiabank and ATB Financial. During that time, Dave gained valuable industry expertise in risk management, commercial and retail lending, registered products, pensions, group RRSPs, investments and recoveries management.

    Dave is an Accredited Mortgage Professional with Mortgage Professionals Canada. He has completed several professional development programs through the Institute of Canadian Bankers.

  • Scott Sanders – Vice-President, Service & Operations

    Scott Sanders is responsible for improving the operational efficiency of Bridgewater Bank’s products and services. He is directly responsible for operational risk, mortgage operations, deposit operations, information technology, the Customer Experience Centre, direct sales and project management.

    Scott has over 25 years of experience within the banking industry in operations management and project implementation. Over his career, he has lead portfolios – at the executive level – including human resources, marketing, product and employee engagement.

    He earned his Bachelor of Administration at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

  • Robin Klein, CPA, CA – Vice-President, Finance

    Robin Klein is responsible for business planning, financial reporting, regulatory reporting and financial governance for Bridgewater Bank.

    She has 18 years of experience in public accounting, audit and financial reporting. Prior to joining the bank in 2011, Robin held positions at the Investment Industry Organization of Canada, Global Captive Management and the Provincial Auditor of Saskatchewan.

    Robin is a chartered accountant, holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan and is a member of the Saskatchewan and Alberta Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants.
